A few weeks ago I visited Belle Sois Studios in Flemington, NJ. It’s about an hour drive from where I live. But my friend Pauline is the owner and lash technician. So I paid her a visit. Here studio is all vintage and rustic. So up my alley. I am in love!
Full disclosure, I paid for my services, and I am blogging my experience because I am really happy with the results and I will certainly do it again.
My lashes are pretty long, so I generally curl them and put on mascara. It’s a rare the occasion when I wear falsies. But as I’ve gotten older, my lashes have dropped. This is why when Pauline put out the add for the service, I rushed on over.
So what is a lash lift? It’s done with keratine. The whole process takes about 45 mins, including tinting. It doesn’t hurt but the formula does smell while you are getting the procedure done. There’s no smell after.
Here’s a before picture. Thanks Pauline for taking all the pics!
She starts by securing my button lashes, and attaching the top on to the curling rod thingie (yes thate the actual name… Not its not, but we are going with it).
And here is the after. She’s like a lash wizard! Amazing difference!
For at least the first 24 hours after treatment, the lash wizard suggest avoiding:
- Heat, saunas, and steam (like steamy baths and even cooking)
- Water
- Oil
- Shampoos
- Lotions and creams
- Facewash
- Makeup remover wipes
She also mentions, that you could still wear mascara. However not waterproof, and suggests removing it with either cold water or micellar water.
For the tint to last, she says to stay away from oily products around the eyes.
These images are without mascara. Because to be honestly, I don’t need to wear it. But I do because I am dramatic AF.
What do we think? Have you gotten your lashes lifted? Show me your results!
So pretty

She did such an amazing job!
She did an amazing job! You already had great lashes but now it’s a lot more separated, lifted and you got length. Adding mascara will enhance it more if you decide to do so!
She did an incredible job! Thank you so much for coming on over boo!
