Fake engaged to the hottest quarterback in the country? SCORE.

They say nothing compares to your first kiss,
But our first kiss was orchestrated for an audience.
Our second kiss . . . that one was REAL.
He cradled my face like he was terrified he’d f*ck it up.
He stared into my eyes until the air buzzed.
Soft and slow, full of sighs and little laughs,
He inhaled me like I was the finest Belgian chocolate,
And he’d never get another piece.
A nip of his teeth, his hand at my waist . . .
And I was lost.
I forgot he was paying me to be his fake fiancée.
I forgot we weren’t REAL.
Our kiss was pure magic, and before you laugh and say those kinds of kisses don’t exist,
Then you’ve never touched lips with Max Kent, the hottest quarterback in college history.

Three months. Two hearts. One fake engagement.

A DEE REVIEW

Don’t under estimate the power of a good ad campaign. This book was EVERYWHERE I looked. It was as if social media was telling me, “Oh Dee you know this is one of your favorite story lines, let me give you something to quench your bookie soul.” Obviously social media knows me pretty well.

Yes it’s true, I LOVE books and movies (thanks Hallmark channel) about fake engagements that turn real. I don’t know what it is. I just love them. But did I want to read yet another book about it?

Apparently social media was on to me, and after the 47,000 ad on Facebook and Instagram, I went ahead and downloaded it into my kindle. And you know what? I am so happy I did!

Sure you know how this book is going to end, so it’s more about how author Ilsa Madden-Mills gets you there that makes it so darn good. This is the kind of book that will leave you with a smile on your face and happy butterflies in your stomach.

When Sunny was 17, she had enough of her life and left it all behind in one fated and unforgettable night. That same night her real life actually began. She had a second chance at life and worked tirelessly to make something of herself. On her own terms. No one was going to stop her.

To anyone looking from outside in, Max had a charmed life. But he has a father that he really didn’t have a relationship with, and his mother passed away unexpectedly. Sure he was a big College football star. But it wasn’t all VIP and strippers for him.

So why would a preachers kid and a football star fake a relationship of any kind? To keep their exes off their backs of course. But also good publicity for Max and his chance at being a Heisman Trophy candidate.

This story has a little bit of everything, evil jealous exes, mystery and suspense, sexy quarterbacks, librarian, parties, and of course and engagement.

If you want a good book to get lost in, I recommend you pick this one up. I give Fake Fiancée by Ilsa Madden-Mills 4 nerd glasses out of 5.

XOXOXO!
Dee
