Halloween Treats

Happy Halloween!

Hope everyone had a great weekend! The weather has been crazy here in Jersey. I can’t tell whether it’s Halloween or Easter.

On this Halloween weekend I decided to do something fun in the kitchen with the munchkin. I kept it super simple, doing my spin on some creepy treats. So let’s get started.

Here is what you’ll need:

  • 1 box of chocolate pudding
  • 2 boxes of vanilla pudding
  • Green and Orange food color
  • 1 box of chocolate grahams crushed
  • 1 bag of gummie worms
  • 1 bag of Milano cookies
  • Pretzel Rods
  • 1/8 cup chocolate chips melted
  • 10 oz clear cups
  • 1 large clear bowl
  • 1 small paint brush

What are we making? A graveyard bowl, and pumpkin and monster cups!

For the pumpkin and monster cups, prepare both pudding boxes as per instructions. Keep them separate, for the vanilla pudding, turn one batch orange and the other one green with the food coloring.

To make the graveyard, fill the bowl with half of the chocolate pudding, add some worms, then add the rest of the pudding. Top with crushed chocolate graham crackers. Decorate the top with more gummy worms, and place the Milano cookies like grave stones. Once in place, paint RIP on each cookie with the melted chocolate and paint brush.

Next with the brush and chocolate, paint fun or scary faces on the inside of the plastic cups. Fill with desired color pudding. For the green monsters top with the chocolate graham, for the orange pumpkins break pretzel rods to stick up as the stem. Voila, super easy!

How adorable are these?! We had a blast making them and they were super yummy. These are great for last minute treat ideas. And also, a fun activity to share with the little ones.
