Shrimp Fra Diavolo

Happy Monday party people! I’ve got a fiery new recipe for you all, and it’s a quickie too.

I haven’t made this dish in forever and it’s one of the hubby’s favorites, so I decided to treat him this weekend.  And so, I bring to you my QUICK Shrimp Fra Diavolo recipe.

Shrimp 1

Here is what you will need to make this spicy dish of yumminess:

  • 1.5 lbs of cooked large shrimp
  • 3-4 cups of marinara sauce
  • 1 tsp. ground red pepper
  • 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 1 tbsp. garlic powder
  • 1 lb. of spaghetti ( I used quinoa and brown rice pasta from Trader Joe’s)

This dish is super simple to put together. While you are waiting for the water to boil for the pasta, pull the tails off the shrimp (I always do this cause it makes eating the dish so much easier for everyone.) Set the shrimp aside. Once water is boiling cook the pasta to your liking.

In another pan heat up the marinara sauce and add all the spices. (I had some of my homemade sauce in the freezer, but your favorite jarred sauce works too.) Let cook for 5 minutes to allow the red pepper to seep into the sauce. Then add shrimp and pasta and toss. Serve immediately.

Shrimp 2

Note: to adjust the heat to your liking I would suggest 1 tsp for medium/hot heat: 1/2 tsp for mild/medium. Or add more than 1 tsp if you like it nuclear hot!

How easy was that my peeps?! Kept it super simple and tastes like you spent hours making it.

As always, if you make any of our recipes, make sure to share them with us below, on Instagram, SnapChatTwitter, Facebook, and or/ Tumblr.

Buon Appetito!
Silvia
