Who watched the Super Bowl? Wasn’t Lady Gaga flawless when she sang the National Anthem? She also looked amazing in her red, white, and blue ensemble. Especially her eye makeup. Her red bedazzled eyes were phenomenal!
So today, I am sharing with you my tutorial on how to get those amazing eyes in a few easy steps.
Let’s get started!
STEP ONE
Primer. Whatever you do, you must primer your eyes out. I used the white NYX primer. This primer helps define rich color eye shadows.
Pack LOTS of lose powder under your eyes. This is extremely important because we are going to be working with glitter and we don’t want glitter all over your face.
From the Urban Decay Electric Palette, I used “Slowburn” over the entire eye crease and lid. I also, used “Jilted” all over the lid.
STEP TWO
My favorite eye glitter is by Eye Kandy, but I didn’t have any in red so I had to improvised. I mixed the glitter that came in my Tattoo Junkee Lip Paint in “Pucker Up”, with a few drops of my Eye Kandy Liquid Sugar. This stuff makes the glitter stick to your eye lid effortlessly. On a side note, never-ever use glue to apply glittery powders that can harm your skin. And never-ever use loose glitter by itself because it can get inside your eyes!
Apply gently all over the lid and crease making a- kind-of round shape (that’s how lady Gaga did it). Let dry for about 2 minutes.
STEP THREE
For under the lash line, I mixed both shadows I used on the lid and crease. Using a super thin brow brush, I applied on the outer corner under my lashes. Bring the line half way into your eye.
For the water line, I used NYX white eyeliner and black on the upper water line (inside).
STEP FOUR
Apply lashes. And once applied, cover the edges with a tiny bit of any dark brown eye shadow, just brush some right on top of the edges of the falsies.
STEP FIVE
Brush away the lose powder. Clean up with some concealer around the eye if needed.
STEP SIX
Lips. Like Gaga, I kept it nude, and barely there. I used NYX Intense Butter Gloss in Tres Leches and the NYX Lipliner in Dolly Pink.
