A little less than two years ago, while covering Bridal Market. Danessa calls me and says, “Dee you HAVE to meet Medeleine Fig.” Oh-ok… because I am not busy enough during market? But she insisted and convinced me by telling me that she designed the wedding dress for Kim Wiseley the founder of Flutter Magazine. Which is a personal favorite magazine.

She also said, “Dee I have never met anyone so truly proud of her daughter before. You have to meet them. You HAVE to!” So for once I listened to my little sister, you know to stop the nagging, and made my way to meet Medeleine Fig.

Honestly, I had NO idea what to expect when I walked in. But I am so beyond happy I did. Because designer Jannina Medeleine Figeroa is one of the kindest most incredible people I’ve had the honor of meeting. But asides from her brilliant personality, she truly is an exceptional designer. Her style is as if vintage and bohemian met and had a baby, that’s her with a touch of old Hollywood Glam. Her designs are beautiful, with a touch of sparkle, and a sexy back. She’s the best!

Jannina launched her Made in the USA Bridal line in 2013. And since she’s been featured in the best Bridal Magazines in the world. Including being nominated for California Bride Magazine’s Best of Brides 2016 top couture wedding gown designer in California. Yes she is from L.A. I never thought I’d like anyone from Lala land. But it happened!

For the second time, I was able to play photographer, and did an unplanned photo shoot in the streets of New York City with her gorgeous model, and one of her gowns.

It’s always fun running in he middle of the streets of Midtown and shooting some pictures. It’s unreal the amount of attention you draw in. What do y’all think?

It just dawned on me, that I never shared the pictures here for you guys from April’s shoot. I am very proud of them.

I know I’ve said it before but it was an incredible honor to shoot Medeleine’s gowns. But wait, there’s more! Here are some shots I took of new items in her collection.

Could I take a moment to fangirl over her fluffy bathrobes? They are amazing! I need one in my life!

She also carries items for the furry babies in your life. She has a line of bathrobes and wedding leashes for the big day. Soon you’ll be able to purchase the items at a massive bridal retailer near you. I can’t say where yet. But this is HUGE!
