Crown|Nova Bohemian Beauty Palette

While I was at The Makeup Show, I scored both the Nova and Aulora Bohemian Beauty palette’s from Crown.

The moment I saw them, I had hearts in my eyes. Each palette contains 10 eyeshadows, 2 highlighters, 2 blushes, 3 lip colors and a 2 sided liner pencil (black and brown).

So I swatched Nova for you.

And I also created a look. It was my first attempt at creating halo eye. So be kind!

For this sad looking halo, I used:

Nova Paletta - Crown 3

  • All Over Eye: Primrose
  • Crease: Cyrene
  • Inner and Outter Corners: Alana
  • Halo: Deja & Midnight
  • Under Lash: Deja & Midnight
  • On the Lips: Delilah

My thoughts on the palette? I liked it. I mean I am not in love with it. The shadows, are a bit powdery, and don’t really hold a lot of pigment. For the swatches, I had to do three passes with my fingers. Granted I did it on clean skin without any primer. When I was applying on the eye with my Luxie brushes, I had to build the color.

The lipstick, I used my finger to apply it. The color was instant and it’s feels completely comfortable.

What I do really like about it, it’s that is perfect for travel, and it contains a wide array of shades.

Also, while I really love the packing, you shouldn’t use compressed cardboard when working with oily items like lipstick. The product bleeds into the packaging.

I did try to search the price and where this palette is sold, and only came up with Cosmo Prof Beauty. The only way to see the price if you create an account.

Do you have this palette? How do you like it?
