Kybella | Part One

I know people will judge me for doing this. But mermaids don’t lose sleep over the opinion of shrimp. You do you boo, and I do me. Are we good? Ok let’s continue.

So what is Kybella? Excellent question! It’s a non-surgical treatment that improves the look of a double chin. It is the ONLY FDA-approved injectable treatment that destroys fat cells under the chin to improve your profile.

How does it work? The active ingredient in Kybella is synthetic deoxycholic acid. Deoxycholic acid is a naturally occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. When injected into the fat beneath the chin, Kybella destroys fat cells, resulting in a noticeable reduction in fullness under the chin.

How many treatments do you need? This is a permanent solution. Once the fat cells are destroyed, these cells can no longer store or accumulate fat, so further treatment is not expected once you reach your desired aesthetic goal.

Ok sign me up! So I did. Watch my vlog below of my first round of treatment.

WARNING! If you are afraid of needles, do not watch.

Obviously, the first step of getting this treatment done is to consult your dermatologist. Not everyone qualifies for this procedure. So it’s important to have a consultation first.

And please keep in mind that treatment varies from patient to patient. Not everyone is the same. No treatment is the same exact way.

I can’t wait to share with you my final results. But of course, good things come to those who wait.

A huge THANK YOU to Diana Palmisano and her Medical Assistant Luisa Guzman for the treatment. You are both incredible!

XOXOXO!
Dee
