Before we get started please know that I may be an employee of Schweiger Dermatology, however they are NOT sponsoring this vlog. I wanted to share my experience of getting my very first laser with y’all. If it comes across as an advertisement, please forgive me. I just happen to enjoy where I work, and my fellow co-workers. With my disclaimer in place, let’s get started.
I’ve been dying to get a laser treatment done since my first day on the job. And FINALLY I was able to experience one, Laser Genesis.
What is Laser Genesis? It’s kind of like a high end facial. Crazy enough, is one of those little known lasers that only beauty insiders are familiar with.
So, what does it do Dee? Glad you asked! It stimulates collagen regrowth, effectively reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, tightens pores, reduces oil production, improves overall tone and texture on the skin, gets rid of sun damage and helps to diminish any redness on the skin.
How does it work? It gently heats the dermis, which is located below the skin’s surface. Patients often find the treatment very soothing, as there is zero discomfort involved.
Now that you are a bit more familiar with this laser treatment, let’s get on with the show.
It’s been four days since I had this done, and love how glowy and bright my face looks. I had NO side effects, except my pores do look a bit smaller. I assume the more I do it, the smaller they’ll get.
This picture was of me right after getting the laser done… with half brows. But as you could see my face was all glowy and fabulous wearing only tinted moisturizer.
One thing that I noticed is that I have more sensitivity on my face. For example, my charcoal face wash has a minty feel to it. Now, I actually feel the fresh minty freshness. Not that it bothers or hurts. I just have more feeling on my face.
When was the last time you had a facial? What did you get done?
