MUFE Water Blend Foundation

Happy Beauty Tuesday!

At The Makeup Show NYC, we found out that Make Up For Ever is coming out with a brand new foundation this June.

With the low prices at the show, you know I ran to the cashier and bought it. So today, I am bringing you some information, as well as my thoughts after trying it a few times.

Allow me introduce to you Make Up For Ever’s Water Blend Foundation. This is a face and body foundation and it’s 80% water-100% flawless. It’s meant to give you a very natural, almost bare, look. So it’s very light coverage, yet build-able. There’s going to be 20 shades available, from the lightest of the light to darkest of the dark. In other words, a shade for just about everyone.

So let’s try it on. First impression? Smells and feels clean, even refreshing on the skin. Blends really well, it’s very light weight, and it feels like your own skin. I think it’s the perfect  foundation for the summer. I am used to medium to full coverage foundations. However, this one is 80% water and it only gives you light coverage. Even thought I am not used to such a light foundation, I did like the sheer veil-like coverage.

I don’t recommend this foundation for anyone that is trying to hide dark circles or skin imperfections; it won’t cover them. Even though you can build it, in the end you will end up having to use a couple of extra pump of foundation, therefore defeating the purpose.

One good use this foundation has, is that you could mix it with other thicker foundations to thin them out for a more natural/fresh faced look.

Here are some before and after pictures. In order to give you a genuine review, and aside from a simple lighting change, these pictures have not been airbrushed or altered in any other way.

I use shade Y405 and I put it on around 8:00 am before work. I got home around 3:00 pm and the foundation was still in place. But at the time, I did noticed some extra shine. As an FYI, I have combination/oily skin. Usually, I shine bright like a diamond. So it’s not an uncommon thing.

On Mother’s Day, the outfit I was wearing revealed part of my chest and shoulders. At times, my body breaks out, and I used this foundation to cover the imperfections and it worked flawlessly giving me the body coverage I needed.

Over all, I like this foundation, and recommend it to anyone looking for minimal coverage for the summer months.

Have you guys tried MUFE’s Water Blend? Share your looks with us on Instagram, Twitter, and/or Facebook.

Keep calm June is almost here!

  2. Yessss! Thank you so much for this review. Gosh, I wish I had friends to go to the show with lol. Other than that I am SO impatiently waiting for this new Waterblend foundation. Ive been itching to purchase their F&B again (I love it to bits) and keep forgetting I have to old on to these coins to get the new version. I just truly hope I dont have to purchase two in order to get a good match but looking at the shade chart, I feel like i might have to :\

Honestly, I would reach out to MUFE and ask them a color recommendation based on the one you already use. They have SO many shades.

Do you have the ingredient list by any chance? Thanks!
