A DEE REVIEW
Reading a Mika Jolie book, I am guaranteed moments where I need to walk away from the book. In a good way I assure you. And this book, as amazing as it is, I had to walk away from it a few times. But then I picked it right back up, because I needed to know what happened next. Mika has a way of writing, that touches the depth of my emotions.
When I realized that the Tattooed Hearts ARC (Advance Reading Copy) was waiting in my Kindle, my hands started to sweat excited and my world stopped the moment I opened the book.
Through the previous two Martha’s Way books, Claire and Forrest have had this instense connection but they refuse to be together. But why!? Why guyz, why!? This book answers all of that, and then some.
Their love story starts back when Claire was a plum kissing 15 year old. Yearning for Forrest to be her first kiss; to know what it felt to be kissed by the boy her whole heart desired.
Even at that young age, the chemistry these two had/have, was/is electric. And as they grow older, their connection intensifies. But, yes there’s a but, there’s a world of hurt and secrets, that doesn’t allow them to move on to better and sexier pastures.
Plus, Forrest, like the rest of the Martha’s Way men, is a stubborn jerkface that I mentally threaten to stab with my evil spork of doom, a few times. Yes he has his reasons. But still, I wanted to spork him.
There were times I didn’t know how these two were going to come out on the other end and have their happily ever after. Some scenes were so raw and real, I had tears streaming down my face.
One of the many things that I loved about this book, is that Mika touched on Keely and Blake’s untold story. I love that the first couple to find their happy ending in Martha’s Way, is getting their book, last.
There’s also a side character that I automatically loved, Tyler. He needs his own story told! You read that Mika!? T.Y.L.E.R! Add him to the to the list of novels I’ve demanded from you.
I always say, read it and make your own opinion, and this one is mine; I love this book. It’s funny, emotional, filled with characters that you want to see more of, and don’t want the series to ever end. I give it 5 Nerd Glasses out of 5.
Thank you Nerd & Lace for such an awesome review. I’m so glad you didn’t mentally kill Forrest. He’s one of the good guys, LOL! Tyler…hmm, my lips are sealed 🙂
I hate you much right now. T.Y.L.E.R!!!
He’s loves to annoy Forrest. LOL
Yes! That’s why I loved him. A man that could stand up to Forrest deserves his own HEA… With me!
Wait, isn’t he with Gwen? 🙂
They could breakup. Thanks.
LOL! Good point. T.Y.L.E.R.
