I have a new love, and it’s called Kizomba. I am so in love with this form of dance that I am honestly going to take lessons. I just need a partner.

I love dancing. No, not out at a club. Yes, that may be fun, but that’s far from what I call dancing. For me dancing is a form of expression. It’s love and happiness all wrapped in one. I’m one of those people that I will get wrapped up in a Ballroom competition and just fall in love with each couple. I love that moment when two people come together, for a few minutes, and become one.

I discovered Kizomba on Facebook. One of my best-friends shared a video and I was instantly hooked. After searching videos on YouTube for two hours, I decided I needed to share this with y’all.

So what is Kizomba?

Kizomba is one of the most popular genres of dance and music originating in Angola. It is a derivative of traditional Angolan semba with zouk and compas music from the French Caribbean Islands. On this basis, Kizomba music emerged as a more modern music genre with a sensual touch mixed with African rhythm.
