If you’ve been following our blog, then you’ve probably read me say, that for my personal use, 90% of my makeup is cruelty-free. It’s a personal preference. I’m an animal lover and it’s hard to think that any animal was hurt to make me look pretty. However, as a beauty blogger, it’s really hard to limit yourself. I do love trying out all brands. And in the process, I’ve discovered some pretty great products that are not cruelty-free.
As a responsible beauty blogger, is my job to give you all the information I can on a product. Including if an item is cruelty-free or not. There’s a lot of companies out there that claim to be cruelty-free, but sadly they are not. Because of that, I normally log into the PETA website to find out about the brand. However, PETA just made my life a tiny bit easier and released an app! Now you can pull out your phone and quickly search or scan the products barcode, to find out more information. Let me show you:
Is that easy. I will say that there are some items that when you scan them, nothing comes up. That may be because PETA has no information on the brand or item. Would love for them to expand it to all brands and it’ll be tons better. But as you could see above, it worked like a charm.
Bunny Free app is available for iPhone and Android phones. If you use it let us know!
