It’s no surprise that I love to read. Through out the past year I’ve been reading stories set in small farming towns. I’ve discovered a lot of amazing authors and I’ve fallen in love with the characters, and places I wish were real.

I was raised in a place where my backyard was the biggest city in the world. And I’ve always been fascinated by small town life, farmers, and cowboys. When your life is always on the go, stopping by all these lovely fictional towns is a mental vacation. Not that I could see myself living as a country girl. I’d be the first one to admit that’d be a laugh riot to see my actual reaction to a slower life. I wouldn’t know what to do with myself. But I love the idea.

Some of my new favorite authors are Cora Seton, Zoe York, Jessie Evans, and Vivian Arend. Have you read any of their books?

Being that these books tend to be set out in the country, it’s kind of hard to jam to metal or even top 40 while reading. Country music has always been my favorite kind, and so that’s what I listen while I read on the Subway. You know, setting the mood.
