Hi guys!
If you’re following us on our social media pages, then you know we went to The Makeup Show NYC yesterday. Glory and I had a blast, and we wanted to share our experience with ya’ll.
Personally, I was able to attend Press Night on Saturday, and I was able to preview a lot of the items that were going to be offered at The Makeup Show. However, it’s not just about buying. Sure it’s a great place for makeup professionals to stock up on kit essentials, however, education is a BIG part of this event.
James Vincent has a mission to help, and educated, anyone in the makeup field and he does an amazing job at it. Glory and I stood back yesterday, overwhelmed and mesmerized at all the classes they offered. To be honest, we love learning, and we literally considered spending all day in classes rather than visiting booths. I wish they did this event a few times a year because there was SO much to learn.
Unfortunately, we were only able to sit through Renny Vazquez Keynote class. Because we got caught up at a few booths.
Ok I’ll stop yapping, and give Glory the floor. She’s going to tell you about her experience.
Hello Beauty Tuesday!
Let me start by telling you that we spent our day yesterday surrounded by makeup at The Makeup Show in NYC!
We had so much fun, we met so many beautiful people, we discovered many new brands, we learned some cool makeup tricks, and of course we also did a little shopping.
One of my favorite booths was Eve Pearl. I had the pleasure to have Eve Pearl herself apply her false lashes trick on me. This simple trick literally opens your eyes. It was amazing having her teach me that along with a few other things. I walked out of her booth with her Flawless Face Palette, Black Lash Glue (of course), and her Invisible Finish Powderless Powder. I tried it for the first time and it was love at first swipe.
Another favorite item I purchased, is coming soon, Make Up For Ever face and body foundation, Water Blend. It should be available in stores this June. It’s meant to give you a natural look and its 80% water and 100% flawless, yes!
And that’s just a few of the many great things we were able to purchase, I’ll be showing you one by one and reviewing them for you.
Now my favorite part of the day was when we met Renny Vazquez! Yes, we met him and not only that, but we also had the pleasure of sitting through his demonstration keynote class. Where we learned some contouring tricks and got to see his new lipsticks trio collab with AJ Crimson. They should be available soon, and they are a must get!
Hope you like them and are as exited as we are for the upcoming brand new items.
Keep calm we are back from The Makeup Show!
Glory
Since Glory did an amazing job covering our favorite moments, I am going to show you a few of my favorite brands and items I discovered.
One brand I had never heard of, and if it wasn’t for Glory mentioning how cute their booth was, I would have never looked their way, Besame Cosmetics. Their makeup is based on Vintage and Old Hollywood style makeup, but with ideas of today. Just look at their packaging!
An item that made me stop in my tracks was this Dollup Case Makeup Clutch. It’s like a super cute Z-palette, you can take with you everywhere.
Lighting is everything for a blogger/vlogger. And this Riki Loves Riki mirror from Glamcor is life!
Throughout the day, I’ll be sharing on our instagram, a few products I can’t wait to try. So stay tuned for that.
Did you attend The Makeup Show NYC? What was your favorite item purchased? Show us your hauls by tagging us on instagram, we’re dying to see!
We hope you enjoyed our behind the scenes experience. Don’t worry, tons more to come. Including my unboxing of what I received on Press Night.
XOXOXO!
