Happy Bookie Thursday y’all!

The other day, Silvia and I were having a girls night and she noticed my Harry Potter collection. They are all hardcover (of course) and they sit on the top shelf of the bookcase in my living room. I mean, where else would King Harry be?

I remembered reading an article a few weeks back, to check your books to see if they were first edition. Because some could be worth a lot of money. Honestly I never thought about it. But we did check, and it turns out all my Harry Potter books, are in fact First American Edition. Yes, they are worth some money. However, the ones with the hefty price tag are the UK first edition hardcovers.

I remember back in 2011, I wrote a blog the day my nephew and I were going to see the last movie. And this is what said about Harry Potter.

In my house, it is more than a book/movie. It was family bonding. We found that thing that we all loved and used it to become closer. My nephew and I watched the red carpet via YouTube, live from London and I had tears in my eyes. No I’m not ashamed to admit it. It was sad to see the era ending. I mean all those great memories Harry Potter gave our family surfaced and I couldn’t help get nostalgic. So you see, it’s more than a movie and a book. And those words are still true in my soul. For my birthday in 2013, I went to Universal Studios. Walking in to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, brought tears to my eyes. Yes, I know, I’m a cry baby, deal with it. It was like walking the pages of the books, and it was amazing!
