Beauty Review:Wet n Wild 1 Step Wonder Gel

Happy Beauty Tuesday y’all!

Today we are reviewing the brand new nail polish line from Wet n Wild1 Step Wonder Gel. I picked up it in Pretty Peas at my local CVS for $4.99 USD.

This new line contains 18 different shades, and it has the neat flat brush I simply love. It makes application beyond easy and fast.

Their website claims that:

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s Wonder Gel! The first gel formula that doesn’t require a top coat and cures without a lamp, this nail color breakthrough is about to become your nail superhero. Provides up to 2 weeks of color and shine in 1 easy step.

Although I LOVE the shade, it went on two sheer and it needed two generous coats. I also felt it was a little dull so I had to apply a top coat. The first coat dried in minutes. The second took at least 20 minutes to fully dry.

At this point I’ve been wearing it for five full days, and it’s now that it’s starting to chip. Keep in mind, I am an extremely active girl, I kick box and lift six times a week. I also clean without gloves (need a maid!). I know it’s better if you wear gloves when cleaning but I just can’t judge how clean something actually is through gloves.

Over all, I was really happy with the results. I mean, an inexpensive nail polish that some what holds off it’s promise? I’ll take it! I loved the shade and the formula wasn’t all too terrible. Plus it’s a cruelty free polish.

I give Wet n Wild 1 Step Wonder Gel a solid 3.75 Nerd Glasses.

Have you tried this nail polish? What colors did you try and how did you like it? Let us know on social media or by using the hashtag #nerdandlace.
