Beauty Review: NYX Pin-Up Tease Boudoir Mascara

Hey guys! Recently I picked up a couple of inexpensive mascaras to try out, and this was one of them: NYX Pin-Up Tease Boudoir Mascara from their Boudoir collection.

NYX Pin-Up Tease Mascara 1

Let’s start with the wand. Like this one, I prefer mascaras with a curved brush. In my case, I have full, thick, and long lashes. A curved brush, usually helps push up my lashes, which helps me avoid using a lash curler.

This one however was a little too thick. I had to be really careful when I brought it close to my lash line, or close to my lid. I did get some on my lid, whoops!

Now, the formula itself, I liked it. It’s light, and you barely feel like you have anything on. It stayed on great through out the day. No flaking, or smudging. But while I was at kickboxing, it did smear. Normally, I don’t have time to take off my makeup between work, and class. So I need something that stays put.

Here’s a few pictures of me trying it out. Please note, I didn’t edit these pictures, and took them after the gym. That’s why I look so crazy. And I’ll love you forever if you pretend you don’t see my undone brows. Oh! I did find my perfect brow pencil. Info coming soon. Any who, I started this review, with a clean and bare face.

I only applied one coat, and I think it looks pretty good. I didn’t need to use a lash comb after. My lashes are so long, most of the time, I need to comb them because they get tangled.

I give it 3 out of five Nerd Glasses. I didn’t hate it, but I didn’t love it. This is what I consider a backup mascara, the one you use when you run out of your favorite.

I paid about $4.75 USD at Ulta with a 20% off coupon, regular price is $5.99 USD. The NYX Boudoir Mascara Collection has five different choices, and I may just give them all a try. Of course, I’ll certainly share my reviews with y’all.
