We haven’t done a DIY feature in a while, so today, that’s exactly what we will do.
You’ve seen those gorgeous pictures from fellow beauty and foodie bloggers, right? The ones with perfect lighting and no background? The ones that leave you wondering, ‘How do they accomplish that? Must be some crazy camera equipment’. Not at all. The secret to their photo success is the use of natural lighting, no flash, and a light box.
I made my own sometime early last year and it was the best thing I did. During that time, my pictures were so good! But I broke it by mistake and it fell apart. I need to make another, I just haven’t had the time. However, It was VERY VERY VERY easy to make. And I was able to move it to, where ever I felt had the best lighting.
And because at Nerd & Lace, we believe in sharing knowledge. I am going to show you the guide I used to make mine. Where else did I originally find it? Pinterest, of course!
What you’ll need:
- Cardboard box
- Tissue paper
- Craft knife
- Packing tape
- White poster board (should be at least 30% longer than the box length)
For step by step guide, with pictures, please visit Flax & Twine.
We hope this helps improve your photo quality. I know how proud I feel, when I take a picture and it portrays what’s in my mind. I hope you feel the same way.
