It’s a Halloween Theme Wedding. Do we use flowers? Of course not silly. We use lollipops!

Making bridal and bridesmaids bouquets out of lollipops, as well as the boutonniere for the men, was a ton of fun. For the ladies bouquets, you need two people on the job. And you certainly need wired ribbon. Other wise is a lot of broken lollipops around, and a lot of money wasted on useless ribbon.

I tried to seal the lollipops but candy is so temperamental. Everything I tried made the colors bleed; glaze, modge podge, even wax sealer to name a few. In the end, we left the lollipops bare. BUT made sure they were in a position where they didn’t get stuck to anything. It’s candy after all. 

The downside about having such a unique item at your wedding, is how delicate it is. And accidents do happen. As it is for example, that one of the bridesmaids dropped her bouque exiting the limo. So yes it is unique and looks great, but you have to be VERY careful with it.

The lollipops were purchased at Oriental Trading and the ribbon was at Michaels purchased with a coupon.
