My Ugly Christmas Sweater

Happy Holidays

Ugly Christmas Sweaters are in! The uglier the better. You could search any website and find them for sale. I’ve been looking for one for an Ugly Christmas Sweater bar crawl, but every single one I found was $60. I don’t think so, that’s a rip off! So I decided to make my own and this is the result:

Click on the images for step by step instructions.

Here’s the break down on how much I spent making the sweater:

  • Green Sweater $5.99
  • Garland $1.29
  • Red and Gold Bows $.99 for the pack
  • Christmas theme place mat $.99
  • Clear Thread $.99
  • TOTAL: $10.26

So I saved myself over $50! See you don’t need to pay a ridiculous amount to look… well- ridiculous. All you need is an imagination and a needle.

What do we think of my sweater? Have you make your own Christmas Sweater? Share it!

Hi there! Loving your blog, my name is Katie Elliott I am the creater of Tag a ( The website works like this: each week I announce a new fashion trend, and people then tag themselves on Facebook wearing that trend. This is done by tagging their picture with the Tag a Trend Facebook page. The best pics then appear on my site.

This week’s trend is Christmas Jumpers and as can see you are loving the trend, I thought you might be interested in getting involved and tagging yourself in a Christmas jumper. The picture will appear on both my site and Facebook (both with a direct link back to your blog.)

    Look forward to your tag!
