I am starting a new section on my blog called Fun With Dee and I want to thank my very first victim, errr I mean author, Raine Delight. Thanks so much for being here today Raine!
How about getting to know Raine a little better? Raine Delight is a psudeoname of a self professed book lover and after one too many TSTL characters, decided to see if she could write something a little better. Well many drafts later, Devon Falls series came to fruitation. It was originally was to be one book but somehow ended up to 4 with a 5th one being planned for sometime in 2009. I write a paranormal contemporary series for Aspen Mountain and I am also branching out to other genres as I continue to listen to the voices in my head. Check out my book pages to see what is going on with me.
Personal notes: I live with my own boytoy and two kids. I love Johnny Depp and find that some of the weirdest things can inspire me. My muse is a male nut who likes to leave me to go sip mai tais on the beach and leave me foundering for words; though eventually he takes pity on me and gets my words flowing and characters start settling down.
40 Fun Questions With Raine
- Where do you like to go to have fun? Well DH and I love to hike so we try to do that when weather is nice during summer/fall and we also love to read, watch movies and just take walks together.
- What were you doing the last time you really had a good laugh? At my brothers birthday party (he turned 33) and we were all picking on him.
- If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be? Italy, Ireland and Scotland. Ilove the history of those places and long to see it in person rather than in books and history channel.
- What is your all time favorite comedy movie? Um…not sure…maybe national Lampoons Christmas Vacation. *grins*
- What song always makes you happy when you hear it? Depends on my mood. I love Michael Buble, Daughtry and Nickleback so anything like that makes me happy. 🙂
- What was your favorite sitcom growing up? Oh god…I have no freaking clue. Lol
- What favorite food puts you in a great mood? Summer it has to be fresh fruit salad. Love the stuff. 🙂
- Who’s the funniest person you know? My kids. They make me laugh and enjoy life.
- What is the first thing you notice in the opposite sex? Um eyes and butt. 😛
- What music are you listening to right now? Right now I have the radio on a local station for noise while kids relax out of the heat.
- How is the weather right now? HUMID!!!! Severe thunderstorms have been pounding us the whole summer and we had 5 tornados (F-1’s) where i live and frankly it has been awful here. *pouts*
- What is the wallpaper on your cell phone? *looks on the cell* a picture of a waterfall from a local state park DH and I went on our anniversary in April.
- What do you have handy at your bedside? Lots of books, alarm clock and tissues. 🙂
- Grilled or Fried? Um both. LOL Depends onthe meat/veggies.
- Are you afraid of the dark? Nope well I do have a snuggly honey to curl up on so I kick him out to make sure there are no monsters under the bed. LOL
- Three things you cannot live without? Books, Lap top with solar battery and DH/Kids.
- Favorite song? Depends on my mood.
- What one thing would you take with you on a deserted island? My honey because frankly I hate camping period and he is handy with his pocket knife.
- Favorite TV commercial? Um none since I don’t watch TV, just movies on DVD.
- What are the things you always take with you? Purse and cell phone and the kids if need be. LOL
- What did you want to be when you were a kid? I am not sure. It changed daily. LOL
- Do you still have your tonsils? Nope got them taken out when I was 8.
- Do you untie your shoes when you take them off? Nope…too lazy to bend over and untie. LOL
- Which you favorite ice cream flavor? Well it depends…I like chocolate Chip, neopoliton and Fudge ripple. Plus add in Sherbert and yogurt…it all depends on my mood. LOL
- If you were a crayon what color would you be? Teal blue or a deep purple. I love both colors. 🙂
- Which are your favorite smells? Fresh cut grass, baking cookies and bread.
- Do you like people with green eyes? Yep
- Do you like scary movies or comedy movies more? Well not if I can help it on scary movies. I have a low threshold on scary movies. I seem to jump constantly and my DH loves to tease me on it.
- What is on your mouse pad? DH brought it home from work. Some generator thing. *shrugs*
- Would a fly without wings be called a walk? Um *looks confused* why would a fly be called that?
- Why do they lock gas station bathrooms? Are they afraid someone will clean them? LOL Probably
- If the police arrest a mime, do they tell him he has the right to remain silent? *snorts in laughter* Or do they mime it for him.
- Why do they put Braille on the drive-through bank machines? No idea.
- How do they get the deer to cross at that yellow road sign? They do?!? Well here they just run into cars and cause lots of issues. LOL
- What was the best thing before sliced bread? Um…water from a faucet.
- Could it be that all those trick-or-treaters wearing sheets aren’t going as ghosts but as mattresses? lol I like that…have to ask this Halloween.
- Why don’t you ever see the headline Psychic Wins Lottery? Probably because they would know ahead of time.
- Why is the time of day with the slowest traffic called “rush hour”? Because news media loves to annoy people…LOL
- Do vegetarians eat animal crackers? Not sure…I don’t know any vegetarians.
- If you choke a Smurf, what color does it turn? Ooohhhhh maybe a deep dark blue. LOL
