Yup, I’ve fallen into the trap of Pottermore. Not that I’m complaining. It’s actually fun! I thought it was going to be something way nerdy like World of Warcraft or however it’s called. But it’s different.
It’s exciting to go through the stages, earn, and find things. Two of my favorite moments? Getting my wand, and The Sorting Hat Ceremony.
My wand is 13 1/4 inches in length. Made out of Beech wood, and the core contains Phoenix Feather.
My house? Well I always thought I’d be in Gryffindor, but it turns out, the sorting hat made me a Hufflepuff. AND I’M PROUD go figure. I’ve completely gone Huffie crazy LOL!
Those patient Hufflepuffs are true and unafraid of toil – Students belonging to this house are known to be hard-working, friendly, loyal, honest and rather impartial. It may be that due to their values, Hufflepuffs are not as competitive as the other houses, or are more modest about their accomplishments.
Most people think that Huffies are push overs and weak. I have news for you…
And I’m so ok with this! Bring on the chocolate frogs. Plus lookie-lookie who was a Huffie:
Also, Grogan Stump, one of the most popular Ministers for Magic of all time. He was a Hufflepuff – as were the successful Ministers Artemesia Lufkin and Dugald McPhail. Then there’s the world authority on magical creatures, Newt Scamander; Bridget Wenlock, the famous thirteenth-century Arithmancer who first discovered the magical properties of the number seven, and Hengist of Woodcroft, who founded the all-wizarding village of Hogsmeade, which lies very near Hogwarts School. Hufflepuffs all.
So, as you can see, we’ve produced more than our fair share of powerful, brilliant and daring witches and wizards, but, just because we don’t shout about it, we don’t get the credit we deserve. It’s ok, we are happy knowing our house has produced some pretty remarkable Witches & Wizards.
SO, if you are in the mood to duel or share ingredients, or just need friends, look me up OwlGold14997.
Here’s to a great first year Huffies and all houses alike.
See you around the Common Room!
