TGIF! Let’s the get the partay started.
Just a few minutes ago, I was talking to my manager, who is a trained pianist. We were discussing the differences between pianos and their sound. Now I’m not music expert, nor am I trained in the instrument (unless you count Twinkle Twinkle Little Star as a concerto). So of course in my ignorant mind, I automatically think of the popular Steinway brand. He brought to my attention Bösendorfer pianos and how melodic their sounds is. He mentioned that it’s what Tori Amos plays, and suggested I listened to her song “Horses” as a sample to their transeding sound.
So I downloaded the track, put my head phones on, closed my eyes, and listened… wow! I have been depriving myself.
No, I can’t say I’m a Tori Amos fan. In fact before today, I considered her music to be truly sad and depressing. I mean it is, but now I hear it with different ears. Isn’t that funny how differently we see, in this case hear things, when we see/hear it from a different point of view?
I hope you enjoy this song. And I hope that you close your eyes and drift away into it’s beautiful melody.
