Unless you’ve been living under the rock you’ll know that the US East Coast is under a Hurricane. For the first time in over a century the NY Tri-State is getting one, and this after 5.9 Earthquake. Yup all in the same week, UGH! I am actually sitting here waiting for it to hit us and obsessing looking over the weather radar.

Unlike a lot of people in our area, we didn’t wait last minute or took his lightly. But then again, we are from the Caribbean and we know first hand the devastation a Hurricane can cause. In he past two days we stocked up on things and I think we are as ready as we could possible get in a situation like this. Not that it’s a normal occurrences in our neck of the woods. Here are some pics of our preparations:

We also have buckets filled with water to use in all purpose. All of our cell phones are fully changed. We have bags of ice. A couple of battery operated radios and lanterns. Our backpacks are ready with our documents, a change of clothes, and food in the case we need to evacuate. But most importantly, we have 4 bottles of wine lol! All I’m missing are cupcakes. Who wants to send me some? ^_^
