Good Friday & Earth Day

Aloha y’all!

Today I woke up, well with horrible allergies, but also wondering why is today called “Good Friday”. Someone dying, in this case Jesus, doesn’t seem all good to me. So I did what we all do, I googled the explanation lol and I wanted to share it with you:

“Christians believe the day is “good” because the message of Easter is of Christ’s victory over sin, death, and the devil; as the Apostle Paul wrote: “Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us.” It is believed that, in Jesus’ death on the Cross, He took once and for all the sins of all mankind upon Himself, in our place.”

After reading the above, do you agree or not that “good” is the correct terminology? In Spanish today is called “Viernes Santo” which translated means “Sacred Friday”. Is this more accurate than “Good Friday”? I’ll LOVE to hear your thoughts!

Today is not only Good Friday, but it is Earth Day. So I encourage everyone to recycle, take shorter showers, unplug unused electronics/chargers, and turn off the water when brushing your teeth. Any little bit helps! This is our one and only Earth, let’s be good to it.
