Breast Cancer Awareness Month

It’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month and I wanted to share with you my story and some ideas on how you can help the cause.

Let’s face it, if you have breast, real or fake, you are not safe from this disease. A few years back I volunteered at the Avon Breast Cancer head quarters in NYC and my first task was to call people to encourage them to join in one of the meeting for the walk in our area. I was SUPER excited to speak to survivors and people that were as passionate as I am over the cause. But then I had a rude awakening. Some people just don’t care. In fact, I had a few ladies yelling at me accusing me of harassing them. It stunned me, that someone that can possibly be carrying this awful disease, didn’t care.

To those women, I hope and pray that they never have to experience what survivors has lived. To those women, I hope and pray they never know what it is to loose a love one from Breast Cancer. My grand-mother had both her breast amputated and later on passed away RIP. My aunt is a survivor. This cause is part of who I am. It’s a cause that should be important to anyone with women in their lives.

We all know about the walks/volunteering. Here I am brining you other fun ways you can help donate and even some are free.
