Ok, now that the formal information is out of the way, let’s get to my actual review.
Disclaimer: While I did use lighting, any pictures of myself, are unedited. No lighting adjustment. No cooling effects. No filters. Nothing.
I should also note, that while I did use primer, I did not color correct under the foundation. Nor did I use concealer.
Let’s get started! If you’ve been around these parts, then you most likely know that I have combination oily skin. Nothing stays put on my face for long.
Which side did I like best? There isn’t a difference. Both sides went on smoothly, evenly, and beautifully.
Which applicator should you choose? It’s really up to you. The brush is one of the best non-pro foundation brushes I’ve ever used. And while I’m not a huge fan of sponges, this one didn’t need to be wet to work efficiently. It’s super fluffy.
I applied my makeup around 3:30ish to get ready for the gym. Why, yes, I put my face on for the gym. If I am going to destroy my muscles power lifting, I might as well look good in the process. Besides, what better place to test makeup than a gym?
Look at my sweaty mess! But what you don’t see is the foundation breaking. It stayed in place. WOW!
I worked out for roughly an hour and a half, and then went food shopping. By the time I got home, it was around 8:30pm.
And one final check in after putting everything away, making dinner, and eating.
While I look like a hot mess, foundcealer really held up! I’m truly impressed.
Final thoughts, not once did the foundation fail, crack, or feel heavy. It was comfortable even as I worked my behind off. Please note I’m a power lifter. We lift heavy, and sweat just as well. This baby just stayed in place. Foundcealer is now at the top of my foundation list!
babassu foundcealer™ is available in 30 shades. I used 34N Medium Neutral. You could find it at your local Sephora or tarte.com.
