When I mentioned to Ange that I ran out of my Josie Maran moisturizer, firstly she had no idea who Josie Maran was since she’s not into beauty brands. But she did give me an incredible suggestion and substitution. See Ange, you’re not completely hopeless.

She suggested I try Trader Joe’s Head To Toe Moisturizing Balm. According to the label:

No greasy residue. This moisturizing balm works wonderfully over chapped lips, dry elbows and knees, heels, over-washed hands and cuticles. It’s also great for fly away hair or even fly away beard.

Reading the ingredients, they all seem to be all natural. The Trader Joe’s website says:

Shea butter, mango seed butter, cocoa seed butter, oat kernel flour extract, apricot kernel, and macadamia seed oil work together to provide relief from dry skin and to simultaneously build a barrier between your skin and the elements to prevent further drying and irritation.

It was only $3.99 USD, so it couldn’t hurt to try it. And I am so happy I did. I use it for everything and it really is non-greasy. I apply it all over my face before applying my primer and it makes me feel like I have fresh skin.

Ange herself loves it. She’s a nursing student and is constantly washing her hands during her clinicals. She keeps it in her lab coat for her cracked hands and lips. She also uses it on her face when it gets dry from Hospital air. She also mentioned that she loves the smell. And yes it smells fresh.

I talked this product up to Silvia, and she picked it up and instantly fell in love. I asked her what she loves about it and she said and I quote:

I just love that it really does work for everything! My purse weights a ton, cause I carry too many products. But this is my lip balm, flyaway hair fix, hair shine, hand cream, elbow cream, and sometimes I put a little near my temple and nostrils because the scent is calming when I feel a headache or stress come on. It’s everything rolled into one tin.

I’m the same way, I carry a zillion things in my bag. Right now I just took out three other different hand lotions I carry around, but no longer use.

And there you have it, three completely different women, with three completely different skin type and complexions in love with one item.
